I am an independent journalist and photojournalist.

I specialize in street photography, new media activism, civil rights and struggle for them. I look for human stories on wider political, social, or economic backgrounds.

I work as a freelance photographer since 2002. After I settled in Turkey in 2011 I began cooperating with Italian daily “La Repubblica” and international media and agencies. I have covered the 2013 mass protests in Turkey, and I keep cover Turkish political and social issues with articles and photos since then.

I have worked on cultural heritage, local traditions (typical food, ethnic gastronomy, craftsmanship) and sea related topics (boat building and restoration, yacht racing, seafaring traditions).

I pay special attention to social and economic issues in depressed areas, including those regarding displaced people, urban refugees, neglected suburbs and craftsmen in disappearing professions.

I am quite active on Twitter.

I write in Italian and English, have photo and video capability.

I am reachable in the ways listed on my website's contacts page.
