Born in Rome, Italy, Pier Paolo Pandolfi grew up in Europe and graduated from the University of Perugia with both his M.D. and a Ph.D. Not long after graduating, Pier Paolo moved to the United States to pursue his goal of furthering research into cures and treatments for cancer patients.
Pier Paolo Pandolfi has garnered widespread recognition for his contributions throughout his career. He has actively served on various boards, delivered keynote addresses at numerous conferences, and received numerous awards. Notable accolades include the CORE Oncology Award, the Amy Robach Award from the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and the Prostate Cancer Foundation Creativity Award. He holds memberships in prestigious bodies such as the American Cancer Society Eastern New England Council of Advisors and the AACR-Pezcoller Foundation Standing Scientific Committee. Additionally, he plays a role on the editorial boards of Cancer Discovery, Molecular Cancer Therapeutics, and Molecular Oncology.
