Pierre Bernard le Roux

What is happiness? It is being able to do what you love and to do it in a comfortable environment.

I am passionate about solving problems through programming. Currently I am a student at the University of Stellenbosch. My studies in Computer Science and Mathematics assist me in acquiring the skills necessary to meet the challenges that my chosen field will pose.

For fun I participate in international coding competitions and study new platforms (especially web and mobile development) and programming languages. I have developed in Blackberry and are in the process of completing my first Android game.

I hold the rank of 1st Dan (Black Belt) in Kyokushin Karate. Presently I participate in Taekwondo.

I am a founding member of the Dead Parrots society, which is a society established by my hostel and which is aimed at inspiring students to think for themselves.
