David Pierre-Louis is the owner of LUCID Lounge, which he opened in Seattle’s University District in 2008. He holds a B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Bethune-Cookman University in Florida. Upon graduating in 2004, he became district sales manager for Pepsi and later at Coca Cola Corp. His experience succeeding as a top salesperson at both companies inspired Pierre-Louis to pursue one of his many dreams of opening LUCID Lounge, a venue for live music, art, community engagement and libations created from scratch. He has also developed an exclusive line of vodka and LUCID Bloody Mary products called DICUL, to be launched in stores in fall 2013. His community work also reflects his passion for providing authentic relationship building, exploration and dialogue. These efforts include producing and hosting the Inside/Out Jazz Awards to honor local musicians and the community for their philanthropic efforts, and participating on the steering committee of Seattle Theater Group’s Nights at the Neptune. His fundraising and relief work following Haiti’s 2010 earthquake was recognized internationally, for which he received the American Spirit award. He received the #1 University District Small Business Award in 2011
