Pierre Schroeder

For 20 years, Pierre has managed proprietary trading positions, trading and sales teams for Société Générale (SocGen), spending the last 10 years as Manager of the 350-person Fixed Income and Corporate Finance Division of SocGen New York, with responsibility for all trading activities in Montreal, Panama City, Mexico City, Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires. In this position, Pierre’s teams accounted for over 50% of Socgen’s worldwide Interest rate & FX risk limits, and achieved 75% of SocGen’s global net results in these asset classes.

Under Pierre's management, the New York businesses into a $1 billion a year operation, the second biggest profit center for SocGen's Investment Bank.

Beyond running multiple successful businesses, Pierre has significant experience in several related fields:

-Risk management: developed a front-office risk management team in order to both assess risk on a real time basis and to set up the risk management framework for new businesses.

-IT: created an IT team of up to 40 professionals working on front-office, middle-office and risk management systems. He was also chairman of Centradia and sits on the board of TradingScreen.

-Hedge Fund industry: Founder & CIO of Square Investment Management and its Square One hedge fund. Pierre trades his own account on a hedge fund style leveraged basis.
