Pieter de Necker

Born and bred in the Pietersburg (now known as Polokwane) in the norther parts of South Africa, Pieter de Necker grew up as the eldest of three boys.
He matriculated in 1993 at the Pietersburg Hoërskool where he won a study bursary for being the matric pupil of the year.
In 1994 Pieter started his BA theological studies at the Hatfield Training Centre in Pretoria. Quickly Pieter became involved in community projects in the east of the city.
In August 1995 he started his radio broadcasting career when he joined the Impact Radio 103fm team. While continuing with his theological studies, Pieter also became involved in the production of TV programmes.
In 1997 the Hatfield Christian Church appointed Pieter as student pastor. At the end of the year the church appointed him as manager of Impact TV. He held this position till October 2000 when he accepted the nomination as candidate for the African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) in the Local Government Elections.
On 5 December 2000, at the age of 25, Pieter was elected as Councillor for the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality. Shortly after being elected as Councillor, Pieter was appointed as Council Senior Whip for the Minority Parties (which amongst others included the IFP, NNP, CDP, VF Plus, PAC, UDM and UCDP). Pieter served on various Portfolio Committees in Council. Within the ACDP he also held various Senior and National positions.
In July 2005 Pieter resigned from the ACDP and retired from active municipal politics to focus his attention on the Ministry and the arts.
Accept for being a full time radio presenter, Pieter was seen in various stage and TV productions.
Early in 2010 Pieter took a sabbatical to focus on his future plans. In January 2011 he got appointed as the Spokesperson of the Executive Mayor of the Capital of South Africa (City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality).
As spokesperson he also acted as the Executive Head of the Communication and Marketing Department of the City.
After serving for 9 years in the local government administrative sphere, Pieter joined the national team of the Freedom Front Plus when he was appointed as Chief Executive Officer in November 2019.
On a part time basis Pieter is still involved in Ministry and is the Chairperson of the Spirit Purpose Network (NPC) and also an ordained pastor and senior leader of the Genesis Congregation in Pretoria.
He is also a registered NBI brain practitioner.
