Pieter Stalenhoef

Pieter Stalenhoef serves as an equity analyst at Wells Fargo. Working from the financial services firm’s Boston office, he provides his expertise in consumer, media, and healthcare to the Wells Fargo Global Opportunities Fund. A member of the Wells Fargo team since 2010, Pieter Stalenhoef has helped the fund maintain a four-star rating from Morningstar and place in the top decile for performance.

Mr. Stalenhoef began his tenure with Wells Fargo after holding an analyst position with Evergreen Investments, which Wells Fargo absorbed in 2010. Over his five years in this capacity, he advised on Latin American and Russian equity for the Evergreen Emerging Market Fund. His success in doing so resulted in a 21 percent increase in net excess return (alpha).

Pieter Stalenhoef began his career in 1992 with a position as a sales representative at Provident Bank in Cincinnati. He has built more than 18 years of experience in equity analysis since then, during which time he has earned the chartered financial analyst credential from the CFA Institute. His credentials also include an MS in investment management from Boston University and a BS in business administration from the University of Vermont.
