I was born and artistically grew up in the city of Rome. My first childhood memories are linked to the image of my father working on oil paintings and, in particular, to the magical trick of reproducing reality's three dimensions onto the bidimensional surface of the canvas, an experience that, through imitation processes, generated in me the desire to communicate through images well before that to communicate through the written word. Another fundamental factor heavily influencing my artistic growth is my passion for books and the ability to create stories; these have guided my artistic interests towards the schools of figurative painting, but also and especially towards forms of pop-art, such as the most innovating illustrators of the '70s and '80s, and the magic world of comics, graphic novel and animation. Determined to follow my artistic vocation, in the mid '90s I quit graphic design and I headed to London, where I have been living and working since, alternating illustration work and my dedication to fine art. My artistic production is mainly centred around fictitious characters and stories of my creation classics of fairy-tale rendered in a fusion of historical and narrative background, tightly linked to today's world and the most modern and up-to-date trends, at times in a dream-like manner, at times in a more transgressive fashion. I'm open and available for comments and criticism from anyone interested in communicating with me: [email protected] Thanks to everyone for the time you spent exploring my little aristic corner.
