Dr. Ping Jiang is a macro trader with experience investing in emerging market as well as G7 currencies, bonds, equities, and commodities. Dr. Ping Jiang currently serves as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of PING Capital Management, Ltd. Founded along with his partners in 2008, PING Capital Management is an investment management firm focused on investing in undervalued macro asset classes. Driven by experienced research teams based in Shanghai and New York, and through incremental risk taking, the Firm identifies long term investment themes and deploys capital in undervalued asset classes, particularly in Latin America, greater China, and other emerging markets in Asia and Eastern Europe.

Prior to founding PING Capital Management, Dr. Jiang worked at SAC Capital Advisors LLC as a global macro manager from 2005 through 2008. Responsible for building up the SAC global macro business to more than $1.5 billion, Dr. Jiang became one of the most profitable investors in the world, with the highest return in such fund categories between 2005 and 2007.

Prior to SAC, Dr. Ping Jiang worked at Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. from 1995-2004. He joined as an analyst in mortgage and fixed income research, worked as market maker in Latin America FX Options, became head of Latin America Local Market Trading, head of FX Proprietary Trading, and head of Liquid Market Proprietary Trading. Dr. Jiang established Lehman as the dominant firm in Latin America derivatives market. He was responsible for over 50% of the global profits for the Foreign Exchange Department, and was one of the largest profit producers in Lehman Brothers.

Dr. Jiang earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Science and Technology of China in 1986. He then earned his PhD in Chemistry from Princeton University in 1993. From there, Dr. Jiang went to the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University, obtaining candidacy for PhD in Finance in 1995.
