Pink Judy

South Florida

I first became involved with the Komen Foundation about nine years ago now, when my sister learned she had breast cancer.

My whole family participated in the
Race for the Cure event in Philadelphia that year.

We also held a breast cancer benefit in
my sister's honor that same year, and
we have been involved in the Race for
the Cure event ever since.

When I moved to Southern Florida a
few years ago, I started attending and fundraising for the West Palm Beach
Race for the Cure event. Later, in 2012, when I was in between jobs, I had an opportunity to volunteer in the Komen South Florida affiliate office in the Good Samaritan Hospital, where I met a bunch of wonderful volunteers and employees.

Once I started working again, I became very active and started volunteering at community health fairs and other events.

I am passionate about this cause and have seen the positive impact this organization has on their community.
