Pinoy Malikhain
Marikina City, National Capital Region, Philippines
Pinoy Malikhain originally started in the year 2006, is composed of some volunteers headed by the "Rubber Artist" of Marikina City, Mark David Cerezo, they give dedication and education to the youth not only here in Marikina but also in Metro Manila. They visit places where youth is passionate in creating arts and willing to learn of things that helps the environment. Pinoy Malikhain aim to inform the new generation through a meaningful puppet show that the characters adapted from the creative mind of Mark David Cerezo also known as the "Rubberman". When Typhoon Ondoy made its damage and almost wash out the City of Marikina, one of the main cause of flashflood is the waste. The Organization thinks a way to discipline and teach the kids to be responsible enough in throwing away their garbage because someday they will face consequences of their negligence. Pinoy Malikhain teaches arts and crafts activities for youth that incapable of buying craft materials, they encourage them that arts can be done through recycle garbage and it is profitable.
Our goal and vision to the children we honor is to give them a good education and to implement in their mind that whatever the talents they received from God is good to share to others. Aside from rotating the Metro Manila, we are hoping that our next target is to have a caravan in some provinces in the Philippines, to extend our desire to attain the goal of learning and to be responsible in our environment and help them to share their talents to others that God given.
In the years of giving our service to the youth that are incapable to study and has a desire to learn in Arts, we give and share them a things that filled of ideas that can use in their study, in giving importance to our environment and learn how to share and enhance their very own gifts. The Organization gives much priority to the youth of today to the place wherein they can’t afford to attend in school or to buy Art materials.
