Academic activity: Associate Professor at the Fernando Pessoa University (UFP) and Dean of the Master's Degree in Architecture and Urban Planning of UFP since 2007.
Editorial activity:
He is the chef editor of the "A Obra Nasce: Architecture and Urbanism Journal" as well a reviewer of the Brazilian Urban Management Magazine URBE (ISSN 2175-3369); member of the Scientific Committee of the "Progettazione tecnologica dell'Architettura e dell'Ambiente", Value Press (ISBN 9788890658075) and of the Encyclopedia of E-Health and Telemedicine: IGI Global E-Editorial Discovery.
Academic Research activity:
He is responsible for the Laboratory for Studies and Projects (LEP)as well Researcher at the "CAPP - Center for Administration and Public Policy" at ISCSP / Technical University of Lisbon. Member of the Scientific board of “Padre Himalaya institute”.
Social/Civic/Political activity
He was a Delegate of the Northern Regional Section of the Portuguese College of Architects (2008-2010) and President of the supervisory board of Portuguese College of Architects between 2017 and 2020. He was also member of the supervisory board off APASD: Association for patients safety until 2017 as well asof the board of ASF-P: “architects without frontiers – Portugal”. He was one of the founders of "Grupo da Boavista" and also it’s President (2015-2019).
