As an architectural designer, consultant, instructor and project executive, Piper has a deep passion for sustainability and a commitment to impactful projects. In her current role as Deputy PMO at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, Piper oversees the Lab's mission critical science and infrastructure projects, totaling approximately $250M in annual funding for a building portfolio with approximately $2.3B invested in new construction projects. Piper is a Climate Corps Fellow Alumnus with Environmental Defense Fund and served on the board of directors of the Net Zero Energy Coalition with the goal of lowering carbon emissions from buildings at scale. Previously, Piper worked with the Commonwealth Club of California, for which she was owner's rep for their headquarters building; Urban Fabrick, for which she was director of project development for clients such as Salesforce and SFO Airport; WeWork, for which she was a senior project executive with Enterprise Clients; and Stanford School of Medicine, as a senior PM with the Office of Facilities Planning and Management for its portfolio of 89 education and laboratory buildings.
