Deb Connolly

Hello all! My name is Deb. I'm a Post Bac Licensure Only student at ECU obtaining my K-6 Elementary Ed license. I will begin Sr. 1 in the Fall and student teach in Spring 2012. I'm 42 years old, married with two children, ages 9 and 6, have a Bachelor's degree in Business from ECU 1991. I hope to teach PreK-2nd grade.

I have had several jobs since I graduated from ECU the first time in 1991. But, for the past five years, I have worked with young children. I owned/directed/taught at a nursery school for three years and for the past two years have worked full time as a TA in a young 4 and 5 year old program at my children's school. Sadly, I've had to give up that job for next year since I'll be student teaching.

I love the beach, fishing, boating, playing and hanging out with my kids, tennis, shopping, reading, decorating and just being with my family and friends. I also love to go out dancing and hear a great band.

My favorite book....... so many books....so hard to choose just one! Some of my favs are "Life of Pi", "A Map of the World", "The Help" and the list goes on. I haven't had much time lately to read for pleasure due to school but I have "Unbroken" waiting in the wings!
