I was diagnosed with stage 2 invasive ductal cancer less than a month before my 40th birthday. Underwent total mastectomy the week after my birthday and am currently undergoing chemotherapy and biologic therapy for the next year. I connected with a few (now) good friends through I had cancer immediately, and they have been awesome in helping me through this. We all go through a unique journey with cancer, but knowing there is someone else out there on a similar journey to help buoy your spirits or just offer a sympathetic ear is amazing. I recommend this site to everyone who tells me they had cancer or know someone just diagnosed.
