b. 1938 in Birmingham of expatriate Lancashire parents. Studied Music, French and Theology at Durham University.

Ordained Priest in 1966. Served in the parochial ministry of the Church of England 1965 - 2002.

In retirement devoted to composition and conducting. Graham worked with librettist Rod Barry and musician/singer Ian Jenkins on the colouful score of a stage musical based on the story of the struggle that preceded the founding of the international co-operative movement climaxed by the opening of the first Rochdale Pioneers Equitable Society store in Rochdale. The site still stands as the core of the Rochdale Pioneers Museum, which is well visited by members of the 3 million plus co-operatives now to be found all over the globe.
