Security isn’t always the first thing on people’s minds when using a computer. This is proven anytime there is an attack on a large web site that has its user’s passwords stolen, “password” or “qwerty123” is usually one of the top passwords used. It is that reason why one of my greatest passions is to explain to people how they can protect themselves from attacks, not just give them a list of rules to follow. I believe that an educated user is a safe user, and a company full of educated users will be a safer company.

It isn’t the only concern with security but (not by a long shot) so that is why I have also worked hard to expand my area of knowledge and be engaged with the security community at large. I have also been able to see how the security posture of a company can affect the bottom line (both good and bad). So I try to make sure that a company’s posture is as wide and layered as possible to provide the most holistic coverage.
