I'm Lead Curator for Digital Mapping at the British Library, where I previously worked as Curator for US, Canadian and Caribbean Collections. I have also curated the Australasian collections as well as being electd a Fellow at the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG). My recent work includes the photographic digitisation project, 'Picturing Canada', and the British Library exhibition, 'Lines in the Ice: Seeking the Northwest Passage'.

My recent writing includes a forthcoming book on photography in the early twentieth century (with MQUP) and another forthcoming book on the history of polar exploration (with British Library Publishing). I also post frequently on the Library's Americas blog.

At the weekend I'm usually found wandering around with my camera, mapping a run or trying not to fall off a paddleboard.
