Peter J Merrigan
Leeds, United Kingdom
Peter J Merrigan was born in Northern Ireland at the same time that Johnny Mathis held the Number One spot in the UK charts with When a Child is Born (a coincidence, of course).
His debut novel, "The Camel Trail", about the fears parents have at the loss of their child - coupled with the tragedy of kidnap, has been described by author Katherine Black as 'Hauntingly beautiful. I defy you not to finish this book without shedding a tear.' She goes on to say, '[the character of] Kevin reaffirms my faith in humanity.' It was published in 2010.
Peter's second novel, "Rider", released in November 2011, is an exciting crime-thriller based in both Belfast and London about a young man whose partner is murdered and now he is thrust into a world of secrets and lies.
Peter moved to London in 1997 and, in 2010, fell out of the rat race for a quieter life in Yorkshire.
