KANE was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. She first discovered her love for writing at the age of fourteen. Poetry was her first love. The beginning of her writing. She started out as a storyteller to her nieces and nephews. At the time Kane was unemployed and her nieces and nephews would spend their summers off with her. For fun, she would tell them spooky stories which led her to write for children.

Years later, she entered a bedtime storybook contest through Half Price Books known as “Say Goodnight To Illiteracy”, 11th Edition, under her authentic name. The contest generated throughout the United States and she was one of twenty chosen to be published in the storybook. The proceeds from the book supported literacy projects.

The love of horror movies inspired her to take her writing to an advanced level, SCREENWRITING. Eventually she wrote a horror screenplay, UNBOUND, and submitted it to Writer’s Digest Magazine, Cincinnati, Ohio, in their 78th Annual Writing Competition. In October 2009, it placed 42nd out of 100 in the entire US and Canada earning an Honorable Mention. Kane inherited her love of horror from her grandmother and her writing ability from her aunt. Since then, Kane has been writing the sequel to UNBOUND, which is titled, BOUND.
