My pronouns are she/her, I am a mama, wife, birth junkie, and oversized t-shirt enthusiast. I was born and raised in Colorado (yep, one of the rare ones!) and although the traffic seems to get worse every day, I don’t plan on leaving anytime soon. I am passionate about mental health, inclusivity, and evidence-based education in the birth space. I am so excited to be able to use my passions to support parents through the magical experience that is pregnancy, birth, and beyond!
I have been interested in and excited about birth ever since I can remember, but my passion was truly ignited when I attended my nephew’s birth as my sister’s main support person. During her labor, I fell in love. Not only with my sweet nephew, but with the journey of bringing a life into this world. Then I had a baby of my own, Finnley via urgent cesarean, during COVID… and man did that kick things into gear for me!
Fast forward to today and I am now a Trauma-Informed Doula, Childbirth Educator, Placenta Specialist, and a Birth Photographer! (woo.. that’s a mouthful!) I wanted to help birthing people. I wanted to educate people so that they feel like they can make informed decisions regarding their care. I wanted to help people feel empowered to communicate with providers and ask questions if they need to. I wanted to protect the space and document the journey. So here I am!
I offer my support for birth journeys of all shapes and sizes. It is my goal to make sure you know that you are capable of having an empowering birth experience, whatever that may mean for you. My labor and birth philosophy leans towards a holistic approach. I encourage you to trust your intuition, evidence-based research, and the body’s natural physiological processes. I believe in science, and science says: You CAN do this! I really look forward to meeting you and talking with you about how I can help you meet your goals, whatever they may be.
