Plant Wear

Plantwear was founded in mid 2013 when Wiktor Pryzyk decided to produce high quality Wooden Watches. Wooden watches had been produced before but they had always relied on the novelty of the concept. Here at Plantwear we decided to produce great looking watches with high quality components that just happened to be made of wood. We sourced wood that comes from Forest Stewardship Council approved suppliers and combined it with well known components such as Miyota (Citizen) Quartz movements.

So that we have complete control over the quality of the watches we setup our own workshop in Poland which has a long woodworking tradition and employed skilled local tradesmen to handmake our watches. No wooden watch is the same as another, as each piece of wood is unique so is each wooden watch. The grain and colour may differ slightly but the quality will always remain the same. When you wear a Plantwear watch for the first time you will notice how light the watch feels compared with more traditional watches. This is great for people who do not like to feel weighed down by a watch on their wrist. Our watches are also great for people who are allergic to a metal watch, the backplates on all of our watches are made of wood so that they don’t produce a reaction in people who are allergic to a “normal” watch.
