I am a social media, public relations and marketing consultant. I pride myself on being Venezuelan and am fluent in Spanish. Therefore, I am a specialist in multicultural-Hispanic marketing. I am a social justice activist who believes in justice and civil rights. I am also a retired semi-proffesional ballet dancer.
As an undergraduate in Venezuela, I developed a keen interest in communications, advertising and public relations. After receiving my degree, I expanded on this interest, securing a position within my state’s fraction of the Venezuelan opposition political party -Coalition for Democratic Unity- handling the public relations side of the campaign for the open primary elections held February of 2012. On this job, my responsibilities included maintaining the campaign’s social media outlets as well as coordinating press conferences and interviews with the president and vice-president of the board. I like to think I had a small role in the considerable success of these elections.
Currently, I’m the Marketing and Public Relations Intern at a news media company that targets the Latino Community in the Boston greater area: MÁS Media Group. There, I assist the staff in the development of marketing and social media strategies as well as carry relations projects independently. I also manage their social media accounts both in English and Spanish. At the same time, I am also the Graduate Fellow of the Office of Diversity Services at Suffolk University where I assist the staff in promoting, planning and implementing diversity advocacy programs and services. I serve as liaison between the Office of Diversity Services and students, staff, and faculty.
Furthermore, as a young Hispanic female, I want to serve as a role model and to be active and participate in initiatives that aim to solve a broad range of critical issues.
In my spare time, I love to travel, enjoy good food, performing arts, hot yoga, chocolate, and family time.
