PL Byrd

PL BYRD is a potent mix of California desert and North Carolina red clay. At the age of three, she had her first out-of-body experience while witnessing from her grandmother’s mill house window a harmonic convergence of dirt road, crystalline purple light, and heavenly spaceship. Before disappearing in the thick humidity of a southern August predawn morning, the concurrent whirl of the Universal wheel, perfect-pitch original musical score, and personal adieu of its muthaship pilot left young Miss Byrd awash in the knowledge that death is nothing to fear, or to seek. The older and somewhat wiser Ms. Byrd stays busy writing books (Love In The Fourth Dimension: A Restaurant Tale; Notes From Saint Maniac) and watching the sky.
