Teresa Fitzpatrick

Through endurance of life's traumatic events and facing the many challenges associated with grief & loss, I am only too familiar with the struggles encountered.

Bereavement shows no barriers and does not discriminate.

Being especially sensitive to the disenfranchised (misunderstood) grief often associated with pet loss. The significance of this unique relationship with our pets can lead to catastrophic psychological affects when we abruptly lose them. We need to understand these in order to face the conflicting emotions and processes.

I have endured the emotional roller-coaster of providing loving care to chronically ill pets, as well as making difficult decisions for euthanasia.

After a particularly tragic loss, I sought to find answers in the psychology of what lies beneath the instability felt by these over-powering emotions. I am now qualified with the Association for Pet Loss and Bereavement as a Bereavement Counselor.

Tools and strategies to cope will be discussed with compassion and empathy. Time will be tailored to suit individual requirements. Interstate consults/advice available.
