I am a student attending Jackson State University, class of 2014. Currently, my GPA is a 3.96. I am pursuing a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Psychology with aspirations of attending grauduate school to attain my Masters and PhD in Clinical Psychology. This summer, I am participating in the Summer Research Opportunity Program (SROP) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign under the guidance of Dr. Carla Hunter in her Cultural Heritage and Identity Lab. In my four years at JSU, my team and I accomplished winning the 2010 South West Area Conference Championship (SWAC), as well as making it to the NCAA Tournament during my freshman year at JSU. Just last year, I received an Academic Award for the 2012 Fall Season, which I am very proud of. Additionally, I've developed a more defined sense of leadership, teamwork, goal setting, discipline, and time management skills via playing on a collegiate team.

My background in athletics and my creativity and excellent work ethic have moved me toward future career aspirations that include coaching soccer, conducting clinical research, and tutoring. With my outgoing personality and people skills, I would like to expose myself to a variety of opportunities and gain the needed experience to broaden my research conducting ability to potentially become a clinical psychologist.
