Ms. Priscilla Mahinda is the Managing Partner of Plume Consultants, a Strategic Communications and Public Engagement Agency in Nairobi, Kenya that focuses on supporting Governments to use ICTs, New media and Innovation, to better engage with multiple stakeholders for better ownership of development outcomes.

Ms. Mahinda has been credited with improving engagement and sharpening of political messaging on service delivery that resonates with young voters for two electoral cycles that contributed towards the election of the current administration in National Government of Kenya and several Counties.

She has recently taken lead in conversations around communications for earth observations and supported organizations such as the UN Foundation’s Global Partnership For Sustainable Development Data (GPSDD) launch their Africa Regional Data Cube; the Kenya Space Agency with their stakeholder engagement; and Digital Earth Africa-which is an initiative of the Australian Government amongst other partners- with their communication strategy and stakeholder engagement plan for Africa. Some of the other projects and initiatives she has been involved in include producing the Africa CDC and UNDP Africa’s Covid 19 Response Report that was done in 2020; the UN Foundation’s Clean Cooking Forum event that was held in 2019 and Thunderbird School of Global Management’s communication, branding and stakeholder management as they established their first Regional Centre of Excellence in Africa in 2019.

Priscilla has a mild interest in personal branding for politics and was involved in the current Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja’s campaign. She also supported the office of the former First Lady of Malawi, Her Excellency Madam Gertrude Mutharika during their last campaigns.

She is generally passionate about people and how they communicate, and loves meeting new people and visiting places.
