Paul Moorman

Paul Moorman is employed at NewPage Corporation, a leading manufacturer of coated and printing papers, in its IT Strategy function. Prior to NewPage he spent over twenty-six years at The Mead Corporation and MeadWestvaco Corporation, lastly in the position of Chief Technology Officer. Paul led the technology group during Mead's ERP implementation using SAP, led the Network Services group with corporate-wide voice and data responsibility and led database, mainframe, email and integration groups. He has also worked for Hobart Corporation and Wright State University. Paul is a 1980 summa cum laude graduate of Wright State University's computer science program, with an emphasis on systems and completed a variety of post-graduate business classes. He graduated from Chaminade-Julienne High School in its first year after the merging of the two Catholic schools and spent the first three years at all-male Chaminade. Paul serves as Chair of Technology First, a local trade association dedicated to increasing technology adoption, developing IT competencies, providing technical leadership, and advocating a strong regional IT agenda for economic growth. Paul is a fourth-generation and lifelong Daytonian, proud father of two adult children, very happily married and enjoys wine, running, golf, skiing and most outdoor activities.
