As a Director within the Platform Management organization for DuPont Pioneer, James is responsible for building and maintaining a world-class organization that supports the development of many projects and programs associated with the research portfolio. James is also the Chairman of the Project Management Center of Excellence for DuPont Pioneer and a Champion for the “Advancing Project Management Initiative” at DuPont. James joined DuPont Pioneer in 2010.

Prior to joining DuPont Pioneer, James held the position of Director, Program Management Office for Rockwell Automation. While at Rockwell Automation, he was responsible for an overall portfolio of product development programs containing more than 200 products produced and maintained across 20+ development campuses located in 10+ different countries. His organization was awarded the 2009 PMO of the Year Award from The Center for Business Practices, the research arm of PM Solutions and currently co-sponsor of this award with the Project Management Institute’s PMO Community of Practice.

James has over 20 years of project and program management experience with large and mid-size corporations such as Lockheed Martin, Intel, Motorola, Ericsson, Nokia, Lucent, Nortel and Mentor Graphics. He was a principle partner in a UK-based startup which is now a publicly traded company on the London Stock Exchange.

James has worked on projects and programs of various sizes ranging from $50K to over $3 billion. He has successfully built four PMOs and provided improvements in many more either as a manager or consultant. His projects have been in support of various industries such as government services, military/defense, mobile technology, industrial automation, aerospace, electrical power conditioning and biotechnology.

James holds a BBA and MBA from the University of Houston, an Advanced Masters Certificate in Project Management and Masters Certificate in Program Management from George Washington University. James holds multiple certifications from the Project Management Institute (PMP/PgMP/OPM3/PMI-SP/PMI-RMP/PMI-ACP), certifications from The American Academy of Project Management (MPM, CIPM), is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt and a certified Scrum Master, Product Owner and Practitioner.
