Cincinnati, Ohio native Raheem Wright also known as DJ Nonstop became interested in DJing at the age of 14. He was inspired to become a DJ while watching friends of the family who were DJs and witnessing live DJs in action. DJ Nonstop established his brand at the age of 16, and officially started as a DJ in the summer of 2008. Since then, he released several mixtapes: “The Night Life Volume 1 & 2”, and “The NonstopInvasion.” His mixtape series “Do the Right Thing (DTRT) Volume 1” was fully produced and mixed by industry producer Young Ex. DJ Nonstop has also collaborated with artist J. Nice from the group YNC on the mixtape, “It’s a Nice Way to Start.” He is known to DJ live events throughout Ohio including social functions at Xavier University in Cincinnati and Ohio State University in Columbus. DJ Nonstop has also spun at nightclubs and events throughout Georgia, Kentucky and Missouri.
His live mixes are a blend of popular songs, throwbacks and upbeat party hits covering top 40, hip-hop, dubstep, electronic and techno music genres. His goal is to make sure the crowd is having fun with the music and enjoying the vibe. DJ Nonstop prides himself on spinning music with clear transitions to keep the party going.
Outside of spinning at events and clubs, DJ Nonstop is an active member of a few DJ coalitions. He is the Head of Advertising and Marketing of Beat City DJs, as well an active member of the General DJs, Top 100 Good Times DJs and the X Squad DJs. He makes sure to keep up with upcoming artists by participating in conference calls and breaking records for underground artists including rapper Kayo. His mantra is to “Do it non stop.” It is a phrase relatable to many: demonstrating that if you discover and develop your passion, that nothing can stop you from achieving your goals. It’s a reminder to keep pushing.
With a humble spirit and plenty of goals to accomplish, DJ Nonstop is on the way to making his mark.
