Scott Schoffstall

I was born and grew up in Harrisburg Pa. It was a wild town for a teenager in the 70's if you were a hippie and later a punk. It took its toll though but I have some stories to tell. I Moved to the D.C. area in 2001 just before 9/11. I first moved to Alexandria just a few miles from the Pentagon. Now live and work in Ashburn Va.

I've started writing poetry in earnest since 11/2010. I'm not that prolific but then I haven't been at it long. Most I find that write have done it most of their lives. I'll give it some time but already I've amassed a bit of writes. You can read them on my website poeticsojourn.com or my blog poeticsojourn.blogspot.com.

I hope to find other poets and fans of poetry as well as fans of psychedelic music and art. I've loved both since childhood actually. I'm a big fan of the original punk wave of the 70's and early 80's. These days I prefer what is around in the psych genre rather than the punk. The so called punk around these days is too far removed from what it was all about originally and I don't think they get it.

My interests beyond what I've already mentioned are Native American art and crafts. Art in general and museums. I have an interest in history. I enjoy the outdoors.

I'm also looking for that kindred spirit. An open minded woman who knows what true love is but is also about living outside the norm. Someone very creative and intelligent inside and outside the bedroom. I don't know why that should be rare but it seems to be. I still hold out hopes of a family and that can be mine or a single mother with children still young enough to regard me as daddy or both. I have been through a bit in life and it seems a waste to waste that if you know what I mean.
