Hello! My name is Polina. I am 18 years old and Iam a student, artist, and volunteer currently living in Toronto. I moved toCanada at the age of 10 from a little island called Cyprus in the Mediterranean Sea. Originally, my family is Russian, and my constant moving around has shaped my love for languages and exploring different cultures. I currently speak English, French, and Russian, and am working on my Greek.
I graduated from Appleby College in 2019 with the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award in global leadership. After that I enrolled in Ryerson University, Faculty of Communication and Design, in the Creative Industries Program and am currently in my second year of studies. My interests range from photography to technology, from the creative arts to communication and public relations.
During my highschool career, I became fascinated with programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as the whole field of communication technologies. Currently, I am hoping to become a successful graphic designer as well as marketer and diligently focus my efforts, hobbies, and work on growing as a creative in those fields. I am and have always been interested in the design, music, and movie industries.
As an artist, I would love to work in the fashion industry, on movie sets, or at advertising agencies both as a designer and a human relations worker. Apart from studying volunteer work is a big part of my life. Currently I volunteer at Williams Dog shelter, washing, cleaning up, and helping re-home and foster stray dogs in need.
