Sarah Polonsky

Editor, Marketer, and Global Media in Near the WiFi

An encyclopedia of music and publishing knowledge, media specialist Sarah Polonsky has traversed the world bringing awareness to brands through varying mediums, across multi-cultural landscapes.

  • As North America editor and representative for the 25-years-running, global voice of dance music, DJ Magazine, she profitably spearheaded a new iteration into the American market where the title now thrives.
  • Cutting her teeth as a reporter at Page Six of the New York Post, The National Enquirer and BlackBook, the New York City pavement-pounding journalist-turned-nomadic mediaista has authenticated worldwide success built on relationships, galvanized by results. Always ahead of the curve, Sarah created grassroots, electronic dance music magazine (print and digital), Elektro, (at the embryonic stage of the meteoric rise of EDM), a genre that has generated billions of dollars in the U.S. alone, and in a few short years, completely transformed the landscape of popular music.
  • Partnering with famed artists such as Nile Rodgers (to produce his touring festival, FOLD); she’s known for getting the “ungettable” - including Pharrell Williams, Daft Punk, deadmau5 and many more. Sarah single-handedly merged DJ culture into legendary urban music source, VIBE, founded by Quincy Jones; where her subsequent integrated marketing strategies won parent company, Spin Media, multipronged storytelling campaigns with brands from 7UP to Jack in the Box to SLS Hotels.

Sarah’s development and execution of Christian Siriano’s eCommerce enterprise, SendtheTrend.com led to its intended acquisition by QVC.com. As senior editor of leading women’s online magazine BettyConfidential.com, Sarah produced nationally syndicated radio segments as well as web content for the brand, winning a MIN Award for editorial excellence and Forbes Top 100 Websites for Women.
