Dr. Jay Wala, MD, FACS, FASCRS

Dr. Jay, as he is affectionately called by those who know him, is currently a surgeon with Our Lady of Lake Colon Rectal Associates. He has been practicing in Baton Rouge for more than 30 years, and has a devoted following among his patients.

Dr. Jay's specialty areas include colorectal and anal cancer, diverticular disease, inflammatory bowel disease, anorectal disorders (hemorrhoids, fistulas, and fissures) as well as colonoscopies.

He is an active member of the Colon and Rectal Multidisciplinary Team and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center of New Orleans.

Dr. Jay and his wife Anita of 40 years raised their family in Baton Rouge, putting their 3 children through the East Baton Rouge Parish School system and have been diehard Tigers and Saints fans since they arrived.
