Popcorn Label
Popcorn Label, incorporated in 2007 by LaLa in Brooklyn, New York, is a clothing line merging poetry and fashion that unearths social issues, human emotions, and one's own individuality into every stitch of clothing we produce. Each original poem will be coherent with every garment, making each piece meaningful and profound. Popcorn Label, using fashion as a medium, encourages intellectual nourishment (a.k.a. food for thought) and individual expression, in a society that encourages otherwise. Popcorn Label is not only a fashion line...it's a movement!Popcorn [Pop-Kawrn]: Any of several varieties of corn whose kernels burst open and puff out when subjected to heat.
Think of each kernel as an individual person designed to look the same way. Popcorn pops because each kernel is SPECIAL. The kernel doesn't realize how special it is until heat or ENLIGHTENMENT, engulfs it. As this continues to surround it, the pressure increases. The individual kernel gets angry...wanting to REBEL. When the kernel reaches a temperature of 180 degrees Celsius, the pressure inside the kernel RUPTURES the hull, revealing its true identity from within (or turning inside out). This is how we were designed to be - OUR true selves.
Take Note: No two popped corns look exactly the same or pop at the same time. So ask yourself, are you simply a kernel or a popped corn? Are you ready to pop?® ©
