Juliet Silva Yee is the founder of Pop-Up Art Events, multidisciplinary artist and seasoned beauty industry professional, with a creative career spanning over two decades. A graduate of the Ruth Asawa School of the Arts in San Francisco, she honed her craft under the mentorship of iconic artists such as Ruth Asawa, Kate Boyd, and other Black Mountain alumni.
Juliet has since worked as a celebrity makeup artist on red carpet events, film, television, and advertising, with her work featured in top publications like Vogue and Vanity Fair.
In her evolution as an artist, Juliet has expanded her creative practice to include abstract painting and collage, using materials such as post-consumer beauty packaging, handmade pigments, and oils on canvas. Drawing from a diverse range of experiences, including a transformative special effects makeup apprenticeship under Thomas Burman of Burman Studios and mentorship from esteemed educators like Mariano Del Rosario and Deborah Winiarski, Juliet’s work blends the disciplines of makeup artistry, special effects, and fine art into a multidisciplinary narrative.
As the creative force behind DL+, Juliet also leads innovative, humanity-first pop-up events and immersive team-building experiences.
