Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Porcari has recently graduated with honors from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Kinesiology and collateral in Communication and Information sciences. With a brief background in Journalism/Electronic Media and briefly Theatre, he is a very uniquely well-rounded individual with much to bring to the table. He is currently a contributor remotely to a Start-Up based out of Brooklyn, New York for a communication service offering non-clinical functional support- Let's Check In. Until recently, he has worked full time in a sports medicine clinic providing patient care and administrative/marketing support giving valuable aide to an ever-changing business model. Additionally, side work at a special events venue providing bar service and volunteer work whenever possible are not uncommon- Davis knows and respects the hustle. He is a strong communicator with an ambitious, team-oriented mindset and passion for helping others. Porcari's volunteer experience includes much variety. He seasonally participates in the North Metro Atlanta Miracle League (unique baseball organization for disabled youth); has worked to collect school supplies, computers/technology and clothes for annual shipments in aid of the development of a grade school in Ghana. He has also participated as a Counselor and teaching aide in the Therapeutic Recreation program within the University, aiding intellectually disabled youth. Furthermore, Porcari is known to be a lover of music, ambassador of diversity, people person and avid traveler that is excited for the new opportunities that the world has to offer.
In Knoxville, Porcari has served 3 consecutive years as the President of the Diverse Student Leadership Society promoting community service, diversity, and professional development throughout the University of Tennessee campus. This position also entailed long hours, planning and running meetings/events, organizing and hosting fundraising banquets with significant attendees, moderating pertinent forums and leading students on networking trips for professional development. Needless to say, this history has provided Porcari with a keen attention to detail and ambition to finish any task at hand. He finished his degree cum laude and belonged to several honors societies including Omicron Kappa Delta and Phi Theta Kappa.
