Jenn Porreca

I'm interested in creative people, technology, business and the intersection of the three. I'm many things and it's hard to fit all into one little box, but who i am and who i will be i'm figuring out everyday. I've been a painter for over ten years while working in technology startups and with social entrepreneurs to brainstorm solving some of the world's most pressing problems. I have a voracious mind and want to understand people and why they do the things they do. Impatient in mind, but patient and humble in person, I often believe the answers aren't in me, but in those i surround myself with. I enjoy working on teams while also being an independent observer. I compartmentalize because somehow fashion, art, technology and understanding problems like human trafficking don't seem "marketable" in mass popular culture. I believe everybody can do more than they think they can and that real global change doesn't involve a "love-in" or a protest, but lies in building better businesses. Fortunate for rich experiences my life has brought me, I've been a painter, a grant writer, a human resources director, a sister and a daughter to a mother with a traumatic brain injury. I didn't finish college but my experiences have taught me well. Lets get connected.
