What I do have is an ear and an eye for recognising when there's an opportunity to lower costs, especially when it comes to things like insurance and utilities.

I have begun the process of sharing what I believe is my best advice on shopping for different policies.

The best advice I can give you is to always shop around for a new policy when your current one expires. Rates are constantly rising and brokers offer different prices to new customers versus existing customers.

They low rates substantially for new customers to get them in the door in the hopes that they will be able to raise their rates in the future. If you don't comaplain or shop around the cost of your insurance policy is going to rise.

The same advice is true for many of your utilities as well. You'll be amazed by how much you can save just by shopping around a teeny tiny little bit.
