Potential Child Care Orphange
Project Manager, Teacher, and Volunteer in Ghana
Hey, I’m a project manager living in Africa. I am a fan of technology, music, and entrepreneurship. I’m also interested in travel and volunteering. You can visit my website with a click on the button above. We need to help this needy in other to save life in the country. Our core mission at THC is to develop support programs that will restore hope to those marginalised and less privileged within our communities. We work with communities to provide relief for the needs of children, such as hunger, education, medical, emotional, and practical support to achieve immediate and lasting change in their lives. Child sponsorship is a great way to contribute to the development of a child , you can change the live of a child forever! Either in the Potential Child Centre of one of the many children in the poverty stricken families. We currently sponsor 300 children. The Potential Child Centre has great volunteering opportunities for individuals and groups wishing to contribute to the quality of life of children. There are opportunities for you to get involved with health, education, social welfare, fundraising. Children deserve the right to an appropriate standard of living, health care and education. Children need to be protected from all kinds of abuse, labour work, exploitation and discrimination. Labelling children who live in poverty, who have been abandoned or who are otherwise at risk as orphans triggers a response to the label, not to the child. It triggers the building of orphanages and taking the child out of the family and community. Far better for the child is to strengthen the family and the community and allow the child to grow up there, while tackling the causes of the child's vulnerability. There are some inspirational initiatives to reunite children with their families, prevent separation in the first place and to build a foster and domestic adoption system in Ghana. There is also a move to de-institutionalise childcare in Ghana, which involves resettling children back into their communities and families, and closing down orphanages.
