Povi-Tamu Bryant
Consultant, facilitator, and Mediator in Los Angeles, California
Hey, I’m Povi-Tamu. As a black, queer, gender nonconforming person, I am committed to working with people to bring an intersectional understanding to the ways we build and interact with each other. That commitment has grounded me in my facilitative approach to leadership development.
I have spent time honing my facilitation, mediation and analysis through working with an array of organizations. From facilitating strategic vision processes to designing leadership development programs for marginalized communities, I have worked with a diverse set of needs and struggled with leaders to best address them. I have worked with a range of groups from smaller grassroots nonprofits, to theater schools, to graduate universities and city departments. I primarily work locally but have worked with organizations across the country as well.
As Program Manager for Leadership Development in Intergroup Relations, I facilitated and developed curriculum to support team building, strategic planning, conflict management amongst other leadership development skills rooted in a social change philosophy. I recently served as the interim Managing Director for LA Black Worker Center.
I am currently working as a Leadership, Diversity and Equity consultant for Freedom Verses which I co-created. Find out more here http://freedomverses.org
