A Mechanical Engineer, complimented with ICWAI–Intermediate qualification and nearly four decades of experience across the fertiliser and oil refinery sectors. A career that reflects a rare combination of technical expertise, financial acumen, and governance insight. Led the end-to-end management of greenfield projects in India and abroad—including design, erection, and commissioning—while managing multi-disciplinary teams and coordinating with PMCs, licensors, government agencies, and international partners. Anticipated challenges and successfully overcame teething issues during the commissioning of a greenfield oil refinery and a gas-based fertiliser plant abroad. Established the complete maintenance infrastructure and underlying maintenance philosophy for the newly commissioned refinery.

On the commercial front, bring strong capabilities in CapEx budgeting, cost control, and inventory optimisation, having led procurement and contracting functions that ensured transparency, vendor efficiency, and adherence to project timelines. I have also prepared and presented high-value proposals to board committees. Successfully navigated the transition in procurement and contracting strategies during the merger of BORL with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd., gaining unique experience in effective change management. Deep understanding of integrated execution strategies and regulatory frameworks has helped mitigate risks effectively, and I’ve successfully navigated audits by three of the Big Four and the CAG without a single reportable observation.
