With a strong background in Computer Science, User Interface and Experience Design, Gilang is currently a PhD Researcher at Centre for Human-Computer Interaction Design, City University London. He holds a Master's Degree in Media Design after completing his residencies in three leading centres of design and innovation: Keio in Tokyo, Pratt in New York, and RCA + Imperial in London, as part of Global Innovation Design program. He previously worked as Front-End Developer and UI/UX Designer at several startups in Tokyo. As a researcher, he has been contributing to several international publications (journals, conferences, and book chapter) on mediating emotion in intimate communication through multi-sensory technology.
