Dipen Pradhan

Born and brought up in Darjeeling, Dipen Pradhan is an independent journalist and a blogger based in India. His articles has been published on The Statesman, Eenadu India and Sikkim based magazine, Good News. He started off his career in the field of journalism in the year 2011 as a district correspondent, covering stories on every news beats. Presently, he is in Delhi to a give a fresh-start to his journalism career.

His works are mostly a reflection of the hills struggle for the separate state of Gorkhaland. He has written on the political relation between West Bengal and Darjeeling and also the central government. His article had received a national recognition at The Stateman, during the statehood agitation that took a peak-turn in the year 2012. He has also written on the socio-cultural, environment, and the economic condition of the hills people amongst many others.

He holds a bachelors degree in Humanities and Social Science with Mass Communication and Journalism as a major subject.
