Praiz D is a native of Ete-Ben in Oruk Anam Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, and was born and raised in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. He attended Okrika Grammar School, where he developed a strong interest in music alongside his academics.
Career
Praiz D began his musical journey as a choir member in a Catholic church, where he developed his vocal ability and songwriting skills.
In 2019, he relocated to Lagos to fully pursue music and released his breakout single “Hustlers Anthem”, gaining early recognition for his sound and artistic direction.
On 20 December 2022, he released his debut album Black World, a project that showcased his versatility and growth as an artist, featuring tracks such as “If E No Dey,” “Jaiye,” and “Gimme Love.”
In 2024, he expanded his catalog with the release of his EP Depressed, exploring themes of struggle, emotion, and resilience, with standout tracks such as “My Fada” and “PH City.”
On 16 May 2025, he released two singles, “OGA NLA” and “PRAYER”, on the same day, further cementing his reputation as a consistent and evolving artist.
