Pratik Doshi

I am passionate about working in the ‘public space’ - through policy formulation, execution and research. In pursuing this I have carried out roles in senior offices of the Government of Gujarat (a state in India), and the Victorian Parliament (a state in Australia). I have also undertaken wide-ranging Research in the fields of policy analysis and politico-economic considerations.

I passionately believe that Youth Empowerment, brought about by a fundamental change in the way the world looks at, and involves the young in the various dimensions of its functioning; has the power to unleash revolutionary forces of change. Forces driven by the spontaneity, character and vibrancy innately present in the young - which powers through a freshness of ideas and purpose; and a ‘dare to dream’, ‘believe’ and ‘achieve’ quality paralleled by none.

I take very seriously my role in the collective responsibility of the Youth of today - of being the primary drivers, as well as stakeholders, in making our planet a better place to live in. And therefore measure my ‘success’ in terms of how much of a positive change I am able to facilitate, primarily in my own country, and then in the world at large.
