Rachel Premack

Ann Arbor, Michigan

I am an investigative, video and data reporter for The Michigan Daily, the student daily newspaper at the University of MIchigan.

Last year, I was a senior news editor for the business and government beats. My key accomplishments were directing midterm election coverage and establishing coverage of University student and faculty entrepreneurship. Previously, I was an assistant news editor and wrote about U-M research.

A junior at the University of Michigan, I am majoring in history. I am student in the Residential College, an experimental learning community. I am proficient in French and learning Korean.

I was an intern at Hour Detroit during the summer of 2013. Hour Detroit is the region's leading city magazine with nearly 400,000 readers per month.

After college, I hope to cover topics like politics, business, world news, economics and mobile technology. I am also interested in reporting in South Korea or the Middle East.
