Prem Thanaratnam

A recent graduate from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, Prem Thanaratnam recently earned three separate Bachelor’s degrees in Medicine (MB), Surgery (BCh), and Obstetrics (BAO). In anticipation of his upcoming MB, Prem Thanaratnam has already passed his USMLE Step 1, USMLE Step 2 CS, and USMLE Step 2 CK exams on his initial attempt to do so.

Although he graduated in June 2013, Prem Thanaratnam has already amassed hand-on experience in clinical inpatient rotation through a sub-internship in internal medicine at the University of California, Irvine. He has also worked closely with physicians at Kaiser Permanente in Santa Clarita, California. From July to September 2008, Mr. Thanaratnam volunteered as a research assistant at the University of California’s Frank Clark Urological Center.

While a high school student at The Buckley School in Sherman Oaks, California, Prem Thanaratnam worked part time as a sales associate at two different Los Angeles-area UPS Stores. His duties with UPS ranged from cleaning and restocking supplies to sorting mail, balancing daily deposits, and performing notary services. In his free time, Mr. Thanaratnam enjoys stocktrading, reading, and playing basketball, football, and soccer.
