Devin Berry
was born in raised in Boston, Massachusetts. I grew up in very low income neighborhoods and because of my upbringing I have a unique understanding of poverty and related issues (urban hunger, public housing, etc) as well as racism and gentrification. I attended a primarily African American college where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Religion with a minor in psychology. I was raised Catholic, went to a Seventh-Day Adventist College and am now attending a Presbyterian Seminary where I am in the process of becoming ordained as a minister of the Word and Sacrament. Ecumenical relations as well as Christian, Jewish, Muslim relations are a great interest of mine. I am also very interested in sustainable community engagement and figuring out why people do or do not volunteer and become involved with their community while trying to determine methods to increase volunteerism.
