Ian Price

Ian provides Public Speaking Courses and Presentation Skills Training to businesses and individuals throughout the UK. His course help people to give outstanding business and public presentations, including memorable speeches at private events. In particular, he focuses on helping people overcome their fear of public speaking. This includes control and elimination of nerves and anxiety, replacing these with confidence and ability.

Through learning how to prepare, construct and deliver speeches, Ian teaches that, confidence will grow and public speaking can actually be something to look forward to! Ian believes courses should be fun, enjoyable and most of all greatly beneficial to the members. His passion for speaking, the enthusiasm that he brings ensures that every course is memorable, lively, interactive and effective.

Ian's background is 26 years in local authority work before moving into the freelance marketplace and forming his own company. He holds two national training qualifications alongside other degree and post degree awards.

Ian Price speaks in competitions and has seen success at local, area, district and National level. In 2004 he won the Impromptu national championship, and in 2005 the Southern Area Championship. 2009 again saw him as a National finalist – this time pipped at the post and coming 2nd in the speech evaluation.

He has recently written both the basic and advanced speakers guides adopted by the Association of Speakers clubs. He is also a hypnotist using this skill in a therapeutic setting and also on stage.

Business Training Direct, based in South London was established in 2000 by Ian Price, the principle trainer, who not only teaches presentation skills and public speaking courses, but has won several awards including ASC National Champion.
